Quirky, interesting read …

This is an interesting, quirky preview into the creative process behind Faulkner and Becker’s book on the sociology of jazz improvisation, “Do You Know?”  Through a series of email exchanges, this e-book uncovers brainstorming and creative thought between two sociologists who happen to be jazz musicians. The emails are interesting, thought-provoking and a bit esoteric at times, but they give insight into a labor or love that we often don’t see in the collaborative writing process.
