He provides the reader with an overview of the politics and issues involved with the communications field in today’s universities. He then creates the basis of a program to create more equitable workplaces. “The Politics of Academic Labor in Communications Studies” is eye opening and insightful; I highly recommend it.

This book is a must read for anyone interested in the organizational politics of higher education, and in particular communications studies. It includes input from a diverse range of scholars as well as recommendations on how to create a more just and equitable workplace
